Palazzo Pitti is a fun day activity you can do in Florence. There are two part, the Boboli Gardens and Palazzo Pitti. The gardens feature fountains, views of the city, and the gardens. The palace features paintings, designs, and more. Here are some things of what to expect for each.
Boboli Gardens:
You can buy a separate ticket for the garden or palace, or pay for both of them. This depends on what time you get to the palace, since you need all day to see both.
As we entered the palace, there is a courtyard that separates the palace from the gardens. At the other side, there is a large fountain with a pond.
The gardens are breathtaking. There are statues, flowers, fountains, and more. The gardens take a couple of hours to walk around and we still didn't see everything. Now I'm convinced this guy felt really guilty about something.
The gardens starts out with a big open area. You can walk up the main path, or walk along smaller pathways on either side.

There are two statues on the main path. The first one is in the middle, and the second is at the top.

As we got up to the first statue, we turned around and overlooked the view of the palace. I was speechless.

We walked up to the top and decided to wander around. We walked through this small path that reminded me of a maze. As we were walking, we ended up in another large part of the garden. We kept walking and stumbled upon what looked like a home. There was a beautiful view of the city and a fountain in the middle. We sat on a bench for a while and admired the view.
Once we rested up, we walked along a small path and had a fun little photoshoot. Then we adventured to the other side of the garden.
When we got to the other side, there was a courtyard overlooking the city. People relaxed here and spent time with their friends and family.
As we kept walking, we found another large path. There were statues on each side, and small paths you could trail off to. The path led us to an area with a pond and a fountain in the middle. I felt like I was in a dream.
Palazzo Pitti:
I loved the Boboli Gardens so much, that I had to visit the palace the next day.
I toured the rooms of the palace first. After walking up a couple flight of stairs, I see this huge chandelier.
I toured the Palatine Gallery and Royal Apartments first. The rooms were extremely detailed with the paintings, statues and more. I had to look around each room a couple of times to make sure I didn't miss anything.
After exploring the rooms, I went into the museums in the palace. Yes, the palace is so large there are museums inside it.
The first museum I went to was the Museum of Costume and Fashion. This shows fashion from the 18th - 20th century along the southern back wing of the Pitti Palace. These costumes were worn in movies and theatrical works. The last exhibit was from the 16th century, worn by the Medici family. Most of it is deteriorated, but it's still amazing to see.
Once I was done with the right part of the palace, I made my way down to the first floor. Then I entered the Silver Museum.
This museum contained objects from the Medici family, silverware, and a collection of jewels from the 17th-20th century. I was not disappointed.
The Palazzo Pitti is full of beauty and history. If I could live here forever, I would.
