Studying abroad is all about getting out of your comfort zone. Although it's fun trying different foods, sometimes we miss our favorite foods from home. Here are a few places in Florence, Italy to satisfy your American cravings.

1. Red Garter

This place is known for their karaoke, but most people don’t they have great American food. Inside looks like a typical sports bar with tons of TVs & decorations everywhere. They serve hotdogs, burgers, and more.

Plus they split the checks and don't make you pay for water! What a relief!

My recommendation is to try their homemade milkshakes, they're out of this world.

2. Le Vespe

If you love American/Canadian breakfast, this place is for you. Anything you can think of, pancakes, bagels, omletters, they have it. They’re known for their smoothies as well. Plus you don’t have to pay for water 😉

This is one of the cutest crepe places I've ever been to. Their menu includes pancakes, waffles, and bagels. You can get your crepe with creme, nutella, and much more. Some of their crepes gets topped off with gelato! This place is everything you need to satisfy your sweet tooth.

5. Green Street Bar

This place doesn’t exactly have American food, but they do take American dollars. They’re known for their amazing coffee (hot or iced) and smoothies. The pumpkin spice flavor is my favorite! If you do want food, they serve crossiant & bagels with cream cheese.

6. Ditta Artigianale

This is a cafe that serves great brunch food. They have pancakes, French toast, avocado toast, and more. If you want a healthier meal, they also have yogurt & fresh fruit. They’re coffee is good as well!
