Ireland is one of my favorite countries to visit. The people, food, sites, area few great things about this country. Here are a few activities you can do to enjoy your weekend in Ireland.

Walking Tour

Walking tours are a great way to get to know the city you're visiting in. They give you great recommendations around the city, while also learning fun facts.

Our told us about the Vikings, Romans, potato famine, why the harp is part of their culture (you'll see later at the Guinness tour), and more.

Here are a few pictures from the Walking Tour. We got to see the Dublin Garden, Temple Bar (which is a street full of bars), and more!

Our last stop was at Trinity College. If you have time check out the library, you won't regret it.

Fun Fact: College education is free for people in Ireland, AND international students.

Fun Fact: Any Game of Thrones fans out there? Jack Gleeson (who plays Joffery) goes here!

After our walking tour, we headed to O'Neils for lunch. It's a traditional Irish pub with great food.

I had a Shepards Pie for lunch with some steamed vegetables.

Guinness World Factory:

This factory is great for first time visitors. The walking tour is at your own pace, you can spend as much or as little time as you want. The tour consists of 5 floors. You can take the escalator or elevator up to each floor.

They showed facts about how they make their beer, Guinness advertising, free tasting, and other interactive stuff.

The Guinness Harp!

Before we made it to the top floor, we were taught how to pour Guinness beer.

There's a special way to pour the beer. First you pull the lever towards you and fill the cup 3/4 of the way. Then you let the beer sit for 2 minutes to let it darken. Then you pull the lever away from you to top it off with foam. At the end we received a certificate that said we are "professional pourers".

Once we got our beer, we headed to the top floor which was a bar. The bar has a panoramic view of the entire city.

Pub Crawls:

Pub Crawls are also a great way to check out the night lift and meet new friends.

During the Pub Crawl we went to 3 bars, and we ended out night at a club. I had a blast and wish the night never ended.

My favorite bar was O'Neils. They played traditional Irish music and it was amazing! Everyone was singing, dancing, and banging on the tables.

While I was getting my drink, a 2 Euro fell into my cider! The bar tender said "That's Irish good luck!".

Cliffs of Moher:

This is a great way to escape from city life to see the country side of Ireland. Most of the time the weather is foggy or rainy, but the view is worth it.

*Tip: Be careful of walking! The mud tends to get slippery.

Galway:

This is a cute little town, with friendly hospitality.

During our time, we ate, shopped, and walked around. I ended up getting Christmas gifts, and a ring.

If you want a Claddagh ring, go to McCarthys Jewellery.

Ireland is a wonderful country filled with friendly people, great food, and a fun time. I hope you enjoy your visit as much as I did.
